  • Students may propose a twelve (12) semester-hour emphasis in an area of academic interest that complements their major in the J. Garland Schilcutt School of Business & Entrepreneurship
  • Students may fulfill the emphasis requirement by completing current courses offered by the College of Business and Science, courses offered in other College of Humanities and Education, cooperative design courses, or internship experiences that are relevant to an area of interest.

Additional Notes: 

  • A student completing a major in Business Administration is eligible to earn a major in Management, provided they complete two different emphases for each major.
  • A student completing a major in Business Administration with the required emphasis may earn a major in Accounting.
  • A student completing a major in Business Administration is not eligible to earn a minor in Cooperative Education or Marketing.
  • A student is eligible to complete a Cooperative Education emphasis specific to Business.
  • A student may not earn both areas of emphasis if available to their major (or if selecting as an optional emphasis to add-on). It must be one or the other.
