Students who have successfully completed a minor in Social Justice Studies at Lakeland University should be able to:

• explain the reality, manifestations, and consequences of systemic injustice and interpersonal bias
• describe responses to specific injustices in order to alleviate immediate suffering and to facilitate social transformation
• practice responses to specific injustices in order to alleviate immediate human suffering and to facilitate social transformation
• describe and practice the work of social justice within the context of local non-profit agencies or for-profit companies
• articulate their own gifts and sense of call as agents of transformation for the common good
