The curriculum in Japanese, offered by the Humanities Division, is designed to help students communicate with Japanese-speaking people in culturally and functionally appropriate ways. Students will gain the ability to interact within Japanese culture and society, using acquired speaking, reading, and writing skills. Students are advised to speak with the chair of the Humanities Division for information regarding qualifying for advanced standing placement.
