This is a writing intensive course where students will design an original laboratory project using peer-reviewed scientific literature and the final assignment will be writing a research proposal for their original laboratory project.

Pre-requisites: CHM 301 - Instrumental Analysis and two of the following: BIOC 353 - Biochemistry of the Cell , BIOC 354 - Metabolism , BIOC 357 - Bioinformatics , CHM 320 - Intensive Organic Chemistry (4 semester hours) , CHM 322 - Thermodynamics and Kinetics .
