AVN 202 - Private Pilot Instrument Flight II (2 semester hours)

Semester Hours: 2
This course is a continuation of AVN 201 - Private Pilot Instrument Flight I (2 semester hours) . It includes 15 hours of instrument flight instruction, 3 hours of night flight, and one cross-country flight of 250 miles. Performance of standard instrument approaches and holding procedures using common avionics equipment and glass cockpit orientation will reach FAA standards. The student will be able to perform all IFR and pertinent emergency procedures. Students will be eligible to take the FAA instrument oral and practical flight exams.

Pre-requisites: AVN 201 - Private Pilot Instrument Flight I (2 semester hours) ;

Pre- or co-requisites: AVN 200 - Introduction to Weather/Instrument Flight .

Offered: fall, spring, and summer as needed.
