BUS 308 - Healthcare Financial Management Semester Hours: 3 Designed to introduce the healthcare professional with a limited knowledge of business finance to key financial concepts and tools used in various healthcare institutions. Topics covered are financial management in a pluralistic system characterized by public and private financing, revenue cycle and resource allocation under private and third party payers, and the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Includes financial reporting, management and financing of working capital, operational planning, capital budgeting and the utilization of financial analysis tools to facilitate the financial decision making process to sustain short and long-term financial health of the institution.
Pre-requisites: ACC 210 - Financial Accounting Principles .
