Academic Calendar

Lakeland’s academic calendar consists of fall, spring, and summer terms.

• Fall and spring terms include fourteen (14) weeks class sessions with a one-week exam period (for traditional on-campus undergraduate programs), a twelve (12) week session (center locations) and two seven (7) weeks sessions (any location). Fall term begins in late August/early September and concludes before Christmas. Spring term starts in January and continues through May.
• Summer term includes the twelve (12) and two seven (7) week sessions (any location). Summer term falls after the Memorial Day holiday into mid-August.
  • Courses are offered in an array of different modalities such as online, BlendEd®, including some with remote options where students interact in courses utilizing our learning management software and computer network. 
  • Remote courses require all students to have predictable access to an outside Internet provider for research, class projects and connection to download/upload class notes.
