Major/Professional Sequence
In addition to the Interdisciplinary Studies coursework (see below) required of all Lakeland University graduates, students seeking certification to teach Technology Education will be expected to complete the following major/professional sequence and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction’s (DPI) statutory requirements: The following courses must be completed through Lakeland and cannot be transferred in from Lakeshore College:
Courses completed at Lakeshore College - total of thirty (30) semester hours:
- Students complete an array of courses at Lakeshore College in a variety of subjects including construction, technical education, machining, manufacturing and welding. Twenty-one (21) semester hours.
- In addition to a set of core technical courses, students will also compete six (6) additional semester hours in an area of technical emphasis. Students should work with academic advisors to select all courses.
- The technology courses required from Lakeland College transfer back as electives to Lakeland University.
