Students must complete eight (8) semesters of major ensemble appropriate to their instrument/voice and participate in an appropriate ensemble each semester enrolled. Ensembles may be taken for 0 credit once required semester hours are fulfilled.
**MUS 258 may be repeated as ensemble credit for keyboard students.
Students must enroll in applied lessons on the principal instrument/voice for eight semesters completing a total of sixteen (16) semester hours. Four (4) semester hours of principal instrument/voice must be at the 444/445 level.
Students must give two (2) recitals, typically done in the junior and senior years. The student must be enrolled in MUS 463 during the term in which each recital will be given. Scheduling and programming will be done in consultation with the student’s applied teacher and recital committee.
