Business and Entrepreneurship: Emphasis Areas

Lakeland’s School of Business and Entrepreneurship encourages students to add emphasis areas to their degree program in order to strengthen their knowledge base.  Several programs require students to complete an emphasis area, and others offer emphasis completion as an option.

The Business Administration major and the Marketing require the completion of at least one of the emphases explicitly associated with each program.  However, students in Business Administration and Marketing may complete an emphasis outside of their program designation as well provided they have completed the appropriate prerequisites.

Students majoring in two or more programs requiring completion of an emphasis from the School of Business and Entrepreneurship must complete their program requirements with a separate emphasis area for each major.  Students majoring in Accounting, Management Information Systems, and Specialized Administration may also select an approved emphasis area to supplement their primary academic program, provided they have completed the appropriate prerequisites:

*Requires completion of associated emphasis (R)

R = Satisfies emphasis requirement for program

O = May be used as additional emphasis for program
