CHM 303 - Junior Seminar I (1 semester hour) Semester Hours: 1 An investigation of selected topics in Chemistry and Biochemistry focusing on the comprehension and analysis of primary literature selected by both instructor and students. Students will view how scientific literature is discussed and critically evaluated. Class discussion and debate will be used to discuss common research techniques, highlight how data can be interpreted in multiple ways, how statistics can be misleading, and the importance of the peer review process.
Pre-requisites: Junior standing with declared major in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or consent of instructor.
