MAT 150 - Statistics for Everyday Life Semester Hours: 3 Serving as an introduction to statistics, this course will focus on the main ideas involved in data collection, data analysis, and probability. Students will learn about the major concepts of statistics so they will be able to recognize and appreciate the statistics encountered throughout their lives. For this reason, the class will emphasize explanation over computation. Students who have already taken MAT 220 - Probability and Statistics cannot receive credit for this course.
Pre-requisites: GEN 102 - Mathematics Workshop or ACT score at or above 20.
