BIO 293 - Hematology

Semester Hours: 3
An introduction to hematology. Emphasizes a lecture-laboratory approach allowing the student to become familiar with normal and abnormal blood cells, blood counts, sedimentation, hematocrit, and coagulation. Study of the various anemias, leukemias, and hemorrhagic diseases.

Pre-requisites: BIO 262 - Genetics (4 semester hours)  and CHM 132 - Principles of Chemistry II (4 semester hours) .
