GEN 447 - Applied Innovation - Seminar III (WI) Semester Hours: 3 (Writing Intensive) Students in this course will apply and be accepted into The Commons, an entrepreneurship and innovation education collaboration between area institutions of higher education, the local business community, and the region’s entrepreneurs. In doing so, students learn and engage in applied innovation through a series of real-world startup and corporate innovation challenges. Students from different schools work together in multidisciplinary groups to develop and apply the tools of customer discovery, ideation, product development, business models, sales and more.
Note: This course is delivered off-campus in the Milwaukee area. Students must provide their own transportation on a weekly basis.
Pre-requisites: Seminar II, junior standing or above, and GEN 112 - Composition II: Argumentation and Research .
