CHM 323 - Physical Chemistry

Semester Hours: 3
This course will cover the applications of thermodynamics, chemical kinetics and quantum mechanics using both chemical and biochemical examples.  Topics covered in this course will include how atomic and molecular structure and the energy available in the system impacts spectroscopy, chemical kinetics and equilibrium.  Examples will be both chemical and biochemical.

Pre-requisites: CHM 132 - Principles of Chemistry II (4 semester hours)  and PHY 222 - General Physics II (4 semester hours) .

Offered: alternating years.
