MUS 301 - Improvisation (2 semester hours)

Semester Hours: 2
This course represents an introduction to the art of musical improvisation in a variety of styles. Performance skills on any instrument or voice will be used, a recital and demonstration of applied techniques will be given at the culmination of the course. This course serves as a real-time applied synthesis of theory and composition.

Pre-requisites: MUS 205 - Chromatic Harmony (1 semester hour)  and MUS 203 - Music Composition 2 (2 semester hours) 

Offered: every other year.
