Chemistry and Biochemistry, B.S.

Students who have successfully completed a B.S. in Chemistry and Biochemistry from Lakeland University should be able to:

Apply the principles of chemistry, physics, and math to understand chemical systems.
Interpreting scientific data.
Develop plans for examining a chemical question.
Communicate scientific findings- orally and in written form.
Prepare for professional networking.
Demonstrate an effective disposition toward scientific learning.

Major Requirements (54-62 semester hours)

Twelve additional Biology (BIO) or Chemistry (CHM) semester hours numbered 280 or above.

Chemistry (CHM) or Biology (BIO) courses numbered 280 or above (not including BIO 390/400 or CHM 390/400).

Students interested in pursuing this emphasis should confer with faculty advisor to ensure correct sequence of courses is completed at Lakeland University.
At the time of this publication the agreement is under revision thus this course sequence could change.
- It will be posted as soon as is finalized between Lakeland University and Concordia University-Wisconsin.

Students complete the required admission steps to be accepted into the Doctor of Pharmacy program at CUWSOP.
Students must successfully complete the entire first year of the PharmD program.
The pharmacy courses required from year one at CUWSOP transfer back as electives to Lakeland University.
The CUWSOP PharmD coursework then satisfies the remaining requirements to earn a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Chemistry and Biochemistry and an emphasis in Pharmaceutical.
