Students who have successfully completed a B.A. in Studio Art from Lakeland University should be able to:
- Competently use a broad range of media and art tools in a variety of art disciplines.
- Skillfully compose the elements of art including line, shape, value, texture, color and space into an organized and unified whole.
- Demonstrate a creative and original approach in solving artistic problems.
- Communicate effectively through visual, verbal and written means.
- Present their artwork in a professional manner.
- Consistently practice good working habits including the efficient and disciplined use of time and the meeting of deadlines.

Major Requirements (43 semester hours)
Traditional and Cooperative Education Tracks complete:
Nine (9) additional semester hours from the following; at least three (3) semester hours must be from Group A:

Note:
- Studio Art majors also completing the Graphic Design major may complete three (3) additional hours of GDN coursework as part of their Group A and Group B requirements.
- Additionally if the student is completing the Cooperative Track(s) in both or one of the majors must:
- Complete a minimum of six (6) hours each of ART 390 and GDN 390 coursework as part of the Cooperative Education experience requirement.
- Studio Art Majors may not earn a Graphic Design Minor
