Students who have successfully completed a B.A. in History from Lakeland University should be able to:
- Demonstrate a knowledge of history and the people, places, ideas, and major events that shaped it.
- Construct evidence-based arguments using a variety of historical sources.
- Communicate ideas clearly and professionally in both written and oral form.

Major Requirements (39-53 semester hours)
Students must choose one of the following options:
Cooperative Education Option
Twenty-three (23) semester hours from:
Six (6) additional semester hours in history (HIS) numbered 300 and above.
Six (6) additional semester hours in history (HIS) numbered 300 and above.
One of the following:
- One of the courses listed below may be used in partial fulfillment of this additional hours requirement.
Nine (9) additional semester hours in history (HIS) courses numbered 200 or above.
Nine (9) additional semester hours in history (HIS) courses numbered 300 or above.
Three (3) additional semester hours in history (HIS) courses numbered 400 or above (no substitutions).
