Students who have successfully completed a B.A. in Psychology from Lakeland University should be able to:
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of psychology’s content domains.
- Identify the fundamental principles of psychological research.
- Apply ethical standards to evaluate psychological science.
- Demonstrate effective writing to summarize psychological research.
- Develop professional direction for life after graduation.

Major Requirements (48-57 semester hours)
Content Areas (24 semester hours):
Complete two courses from each content area for a total of twenty-four (24) semester hours.
Brain, Body, and Mind
Two of the following:
Clinical
Two of the following:
Lifespan
Both of the following:
Self and Others
Two of the following:
Students must choose one of the following tracks:
Electives (9 semester hours)
Complete nine (9) additional semester hours from the following:
OR
- Courses not used to satisfy the Content Areas requirement
- Any additional psychology (PSY) courses offered
Cooperative Education Track
Complete fifteen (15) semester hours from the following:
Complete three (3) additional semester hours from the following:
OR
- Courses not used to satisfy the Content Areas requirement
- Any additional psychology (PSY) courses offered, excluding PSY 390 and PSY 400
Note:
*Courses offered at Lakeland University’s main campus location. Students may enroll in these courses in the course delivery format available, which may require in-person attendance.
