The Science Education major is an interdepartmental and interdisciplinary degree which gives aspiring science teachers a strong background in all the major scientific fields—from physics to biology, chemistry to geology. With its breadth of study, the major enhances the versatility of its students, preparing them to succeed in any type of science classroom.

Major Requirements (62 semester hours)
Teacher Certification:
To qualify for Science Education (4-12) Teacher Certification, a student must complete the courses listed above, the Middle & High School Education Professional Sequence, and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction’s (DPI) statutory requirements.
