Social Justice Studies, B.A.

Students who have successfully completed a B.A. in Social Justice Studies from Lakeland University should be able to:

  • Describe the reality, manifestations, and consequences of systemic injustice and interpersonal bias.
  • Evaluate responses to specific injustices designed to alleviate immediate suffering and to facilitate social transformation.
  • Design and apply responses to specific injustices to alleviate immediate human suffering and to facilitate social transformation.
  • Apply responses to specific needs or injustices within the context of local non-profit agencies or for-profit companies.
  • Examine and describe their own gifts and sense of call as agents of transformation for the common good.
