Writing Minor

Minor Requirements (23 semester hours)

WRT 115 - Writing in the Genres
WRT 335 - Technical Writing (WI)
WRT 490 - Independent Study in Writing
Nine (9) semester hours of additional writing (WRT) courses, at least six (6) of which are numbered 300 or above.
Three (3) semester hours of English (ENG) coursework

Two (2) semester hours in one or a combination of the following:

WRT 211 - Visual Media Production Lab (0-1 semester hour) *
WRT 212 - New Media Writing Lab (0-1 semester hour) *
WRT 400 - Internship in Writing
*Students may not enroll in multiple sections of the same course in a term.

Note:

A student completing a minor in Writing is not eligible to earn a major in Creative Writing (B.F.A.).
