Biochemistry, B.S.

Students who have successfully completed a B.S. in Biochemistry from Lakeland University should be able to:

  • Apply the principles of chemistry and biology to understand biological systems.
  • Interpret scientific data.
  • Develop plans for examining a biochemical question.
  • Communicate scientific findings—orally and in written form.
  • Prepare for professional networking.
  • Demonstrate an effective disposition toward scientific learning.

And the completion of at least one of the following emphases:


Courses completed at Concordia University Wisconsin (CUW) (32 semester hours):

  • Students complete required admission steps and are accepted to the Pharmaceutical program at CUW.
  • Students must complete the entire first year of the program
  • The Pharmaceutical courses required from year one at CUW are then transferred as electives to Lakeland University.
  • The CUW coursework then satisfies the remaining requirements to earn a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biochemistry and an emphasis in Pharmaceutical Biochemistry.

Notes:


  • A student completing a major in Biochemistry is not eligible to earn a major or minor in Biology or Chemistry.
  • A student completing a major in Biochemistry is not eligible to earn a minor in Science.
