Major/Professional Sequence
Approximate ages 6 through 12 or 13, grades 1-8
In addition to the Interdisciplinary Studies coursework required of all Lakeland University graduates, students seeking middle Childhood through Early Adolescence teaching certification will be expected to complete the following major/professional sequence:
Teacher Certification
*Admission to a teacher certification program is a prerequisite for entry into these classes.
Students majoring in Middle Childhood/Early Adolescence Education must also complete a certifiable minor in biology, chemistry, English, English as a Second Language, history, mathematics, science, science: life and environmental science emphasis, or Spanish.
