Engineering Technology at Lakeland builds upon the knowledge, skills, and expertise students acquire through an external associate degree in an engineering or engineering-related area. Through a strategic combination of science, mathematics, leadership, and experiential learning coursework, Lakeland students learn to apply problem-solving skills to address practical problems in a range of engineering contexts, bridging teams across various departments and areas. Students learn to troubleshoot and maintain systems, optimize processes, and ensure that technology works effectively in real-world conditions. They collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to create prototypes, develop new materials or processes, or improve existing technologies.
