The curriculum in Japanese, offered by the School of Humanities and Fine Arts, is designed to help students communicate with Japanese-speaking people in culturally and functionally appropriate ways. Students will gain the ability to interact within Japanese culture and society, using acquired speaking, reading, and writing skills. Students are advised to speak with the Dean of the School of Humanities and Fine Arts for information regarding qualifying for advanced standing placement.
