The curriculum in Chinese, offered by the School of Humanities and Fine Arts, is designed to help students acquire basic communication skills in the Chinese language and develop an understanding of Chinese culture. Students with no background in the language begin in the introductory courses, while those with some prior training may start in one of the more advanced classes. Students are advised to speak with the Chinese instructor or the Dean of the School of Humanities and Fine Arts for information regarding qualifying for advanced placement.
