BIO 262 - Genetics (4 semester hours) Semester Hours: 4 A study of the genetic basis for life and the laws that govern heredity. Topics will include mendelian and non-mendelian inheritance, chromosome theory and organization, DNA replication, transcription, translation, mutation, chromosome rearrangements, gene regulation, and the cell cycle as it relates to cancer.

Pre-requisites: BIO 111 - Life Sciences I (4 semester hours) , and MAT 220 - Probability and Statistics or equivalent or consent.
