A lecture-discussion course utilizing an historical and cross-cultural investigation of social inequality and social mobility. Emphasis on theoretical explanations and empirical investigations, as well as a critical evaluation of the development and perpetuation of social inequality in the United States.

Pre-requisites: SOC 100 - Introduction to Sociology or consent.
