Semester Hours: 3 Honors Seminars are interdisciplinary courses on challenging topics; they offer students and faculty the opportunity to explore more experimental subjects and/or learning environments. Specific Honors Seminars will require approval of the Honors Committee prior to availability. Honors seminars must meet the following criteria:
Must focus on a challenging topic not offered in this manner elsewhere in the Lakeland curriculum.
Must use primary and secondary texts from the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences to approach its central question.
Must be discussion-based.
Must require a course project that asks students to engage in course topics in creative or innovative way.
