HIS 190 - Introduction to History Semester Hours: 3 This course is designed to introduce students to the exciting world of history. This course trains students for successful performance in the Lakeland University history program. Specific areas of instruction and experience will include research in both primary and secondary sources, accessing and evaluating internet archives, drawing information and interpretations from history textbooks and scholarly monographs, writing clear and effective prose, documenting sources used in history papers, and identifying and exploring possible career tracks in the history profession.
Pre-requisites: GEN 110 - Composition I: Academic Writing (4 semester hours) .
