CRJ 450 - Race, Ethnicity, Gender, and Crime Semester Hours: 3 An examination of the multiple connections between race, ethnicity, and criminal justice. The course begins with an overview of the historical origins of racial and ethnic tension in the United States and their connection to racial and ethnic issues in criminal justice today. Issues of disproportionality, victimization, public policy, racial profiling and discrimination are among the many topics that will be covered.
Pre-requisites: CRJ 232 / SOC 232 - Introduction to Criminology .
