SPA 200 - Intermediate Spanish for Business

Semester Hours: 3
This course is a continuation of SPA 100 - Basic Spanish for Business  and is designed for students who want to gain specific knowledge for developing a business in Spanish while increasing cultural awareness. The course consists of discussion sessions in class and the simulated creation of a start-up throughout the term including the development of a business plan, and web page (including vision statement, logo, commercial, among others). Given that all the components of this course regarding vocabulary and business concepts are integrated in a practical manner into a hands-on project, there will be no exams.

Pre-requisites: SPA 100 - Basic Spanish for Business , SPA 101 - Elementary Spanish I with lab (4 semester hours) , or consent.
