SPA 110 - Basic Spanish for Health

Semester Hours: 3
By the end of this course, students will have a solid, basic foundation of Spanish in order to use the language to facilitate their daily interactions with Spanish-speaking patients. With this end in mind, we will focus, in particular, on meaningful communication, which involves both linguistic and cultural knowledge. During the course, students will continue to develop their competencies in the four skills—speaking, listening, writing, and reading—with a special emphasis on oral communication. We will cover key grammar structures and relevant vocabulary through a variety of interactive, contextualized activities.

Pre-requisites: none.

Offered: occasionally.
