SPA 204 - Spanish for Heritage & Bilingual Speakers IV

Semester Hours: 3
Spanish 204 is a continuation of SPA 203 - Spanish for Heritage & Bilingual Speakers III . It is a course for native or bilingual Spanish speakers who aim to improve their oral and writing skills, further developing their knowledge of Spanish language and culture. The course serves as a bridge between informal Spanish –often learned at home– and formal spoken and written variations required at school, the workplace, and professional settings. The main goals are to develop proficiency in standard Spanish while developing a greater understanding of the Spanish-speaking countries’ cultures with emphasis on the Hispanic/Latino culture In the United States. This course reviews intermediate syntax and text analysis while enhancing writing, reading and comprehension skills towards producing own texts.

Pre-requisites: SPA 203 - Spanish for Heritage & Bilingual Speakers III  or consent. Course conducted mostly in Spanish.
