SJS 490 - Social Justice Initiative (1 semester hour)

Semester Hours: 1
Either individually or in cooperation with other SJS students, students design and implement a social justice initiative on campus or in the surrounding community in consultation with a Lakeland faculty member. The initiative must address an instance or ongoing occurrence of injustice, identify and respond to an immediate need, involve other members of the campus community, and educate the campus community on the causes and circumstances of the injustice.

Pre-requisites: junior standing.

Pre- or co-requisites: SJS 450 - Working for a Just World (WI) .
