GEN 355K - Core II: Science, Non-Science, and PseudoscienceSemester Hours: 3 “Science, Non-Science, and Pseudoscience” presents the questions and status of science itself as one of these central questions-a question at least as old as the modern era and the rise of empiricism, materialism, and the scientific method. Since that time, science has become an inescapable part of life on the planet. We use it to make our lives easier, but we also use science as a way to understand our world and ourselves. Science has become a primary player in a war of ideas about who we are, how we should live, and what our purpose in life is.
Pre-requisites: GEN 130K - Core I: Foundations of Critical Thinking , sophomore standing or above, and GEN 112 - Composition II: Argumentation and Research .
