CHM 423 - Structure and Spectroscopy Semester Hours: 3 This course will cover the fundamentals of chemical kinetics, quantum mechanics, and spectroscopy as they apply to chemistry using both chemical and biochemical examples. Topics covered in this course will include the mathematical underpinnings of atomic and molecular structure and the energy available in the system as it impacts spectroscopy and chemical kinetics. Examples will be both chemical and biochemical.
Pre-requisites: MAT 242 - Calculus II (4 semester hours) .
