MUS 213 - Aural Skills III (1 semester hour) Semester Hours: 1 The goal of this course is two-fold. The first goal is to train students to recognize, understand, and notate aural phenomena (ear training). The second goal is for students to translate information encoded in musical notation into aural phenomena (sight-singing). The aural skills sequence leads students from fundamental skills such as interval recognition and diatonic solfeggi, to advanced skills such as harmonic dictation and sight-reading of highly chromatic music.
Pre-requisites: MUS 114 - Aural Skills II (1 semester hour) .
