CPS 445 - Systems Analysis and Design (WI) Semester Hours: 3 (Writing-Intensive) This course provides the opportunity to design, implement, and document the systems development life cycle. Various software engineering analysis and design tools and techniques will be emphasized, such as information gathering for defining system requirements, process modeling with data flow diagrams or use cases, data dictionaries, prototyping, and graphical user interface (GUI) design. The course will also present current topics, such as agile development, extreme programming, rapid application development (RAD), Scrum and the Unified Modeling Language (UML).
Pre-requisites: GEN 112 - Composition II: Argumentation and Research , CPS 200 - Programming I , CPS 210 - Database Basics , and junior or senior standing.
