BIO 353 - Cellular Biochemistry Semester Hours: 3 Topics covered in this course will include the structure and function of biological macromolecules (proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates, and lipids), the biochemical foundation of cellular function including organelle ultra-structure, genetic synthesis, genetic replication, genetic expression, protein synthesis, protein modification, and cell signaling pathways.
Pre-requisites: CHM 131 - General Chemistry I (4 semester hours) and BIO 262 - Genetics (4 semester hours) .
