PSY 417 - Drugs and Behavior Semester Hours: 3 This course provides an overview of the principles and techniques of behavioral pharmacology, including pharmacokinetics, routes of administration, neurophysiology, and research methods. The subjective, behavioral, and neurological characteristics of alcohol and the major drug classes, including psychomotor stimulants, opioids, antipsychotic drugs, antidepressants, cannabis, hallucinogens, and anxiolytics, will be differentiated.
Pre-requisites: PSY 200 - General Psychology and limited to Psychology majors or minors of junior or senior standing, or by consent.
