SOC 210 - Majority-Minority Relations Semester Hours: 3 A lecture-discussion course exploring theories and patterns of past and present discrimination, prejudice, and intergroup conflict. Current patterns of institutionalized discrimination and prejudice with attention to how these patterns have developed from the historical exploitation of minorities are presented through overview of the cultures and contributions of the various ethnic groups of the United States and an analysis of strategies for reducing intergroup tensions.
