MUS 120 - Music in History and Culture Semester Hours: 3 An introduction to the history, significant composers, and major works of the Western musical tradition. Students will explore genres including sacred music, opera, the symphony, and jazz. The course also includes an overview of music from selected non-Western cultures in order to place the Western tradition within the larger context of world music.
Pre-requisites: none.
