BIOC 350 - Pharmacology Semester Hours: 3 Pharmacology is the study of how drugs affect biological systems. Students will become familiar with the basic principles of Pharmacology including such sub-topics as Pharmacokinetics, Drug Classification, Drug Safety, Pharmacotherapeutics, Pharmacodynamics, and Toxicology. They will be able to perform dosage calculations effectively and be able to interpret and critically assess data from drug studies in regard to therapeutic effectiveness and adverse effects.
Pre-requisites: BIO 111 - Life Sciences I (4 semester hours) and CHM 132 - Principles of Chemistry II (4 semester hours) .
