Transferring to Lakeland (Graduate)

A student who wishes to transfer to Lakeland from another graduate program must be in good academic standing and must submit official academic transcripts from all other colleges and universities attended. Upon the approval of the director of the respective graduate program, a student may transfer up to nine (9) graduate semester hours of relevant coursework from accredited institutions of higher education. Transfer courses earned should meet the minimum grade standard of each program and be within ten (10) years prior to application to the graduate program, unless an exception time waiver is available for specific graduate program.

Grades earned at other colleges and universities are not included in the Lakeland University GPA. Credit previously earned as quarter hours undergoes a conversion to semester hours at Lakeland University. Upon acceptance to Lakeland, transfer applicants will receive an evaluation of their transferable credits with a listing of the courses required to complete a Lakeland University degree.

Lakeland University does not award academic credit for prior learning, life experience or other informal learning experiences in its graduate programs.

A prospective student who has already earned a comparable graduate degree is not eligible for admission to Lakeland University’s equivalent graduate program.
